Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Chennai Super Kings, 11th Match, Indian Premier League 2026

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) scored their third-highest IPL total of 250 for 3 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday. It surpasses the scores of 231 for 4 by Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in 2014 and 231 for 3 by Gujarat Titans (GT) in 2024, making it the best score by any team against CSK.

In the IPL, RCB has three totals of 250 or more, which is second only to Sunrisers Hyderabad's five. Only India (7) and SRH (5) had more than three 250-plus totals in all T20s.

In the IPL, RCB defeated CSK four times in a row while defending totals of 190 or more. This is the first time RCB has defeated CSK four times in a row; their best run was three victories in 2009 and 2010. Before RCB's first double over CSK in 2025, the run began in 2024.

In the final five overs of their innings, RCB scored 97 runs, the second-highest total of any IPL side. Delhi Capitals (DC) scored 97 runs in their final five games against Gujarat Lions in 2024, while RCB owns the record for scoring 112 against GT in 2016.

After their 18 sixes against Gujarat Lions in 2016, RCB's 16 sixes in the last 10 overs of their innings rank second in the IPL. With 159 runs in the final ten overs, RCB tied for third place among all IPL teams.

RCB scored 97 runs in the last five overs of their innings, which is the second-highest total of any IPL team. While RCB holds the record for scoring 112 against GT in 2016, Delhi Capitals (DC) scored 97 runs in their final five games against Gujarat Lions in 2024

RCB's 16 sixes in the final 10 overs of their innings rank second in the IPL, following their 18 sixes against Gujarat Lions in 2016. RCB tied for third place among all IPL teams with 159 runs in the last ten overs.

5Sarfaraz Khan, who came to bat at No. 4 or lower, became the first player in the IPL to score 50 runs during the powerplay. Tilak Varma's 43 runs against GT in 2023 was the previous highest.

Before Sarfaraz's 66* off 17 against Cyprus in 2024 (where ball-by-ball statistics is available), only one batsman in the men's T20s scored 50 or more runs during the powerplay while batting at No. 4 or lower.

With the exception of Ayush Mhatre and Matt Henry, nine CSK batters hit at least one six during the chase. Nine batters hitting a six in a T20 innings is a first.

Earlier in the RCB innings, every one of the five batters hit a six. The BBL 2020–21 match between the Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunder is the only other T20 match in which 14 batsmen have hit a six.
