RR vs MI Live Score, IPL 2026: Jaiswal, Sooryavanshi star as RR crush MI
11 overs Rajasthan Royals 150 for 3 (Jaiswal 77*, Sooryavanshi 39, Ghazanfar 2-21) beat Mumbai Indians 123 for 9 (Rutherford 25, Dhir 25, Burger 2-21, Bishnoi 2-25) by 27 runs
It took more than two-and-a-half hours for the Rajasthan Royals-Mumbai Indians clash to get underway in Guwahati, with persistent rain almost threatening a washout twice in two days. The weather cleared up around 9pm but little did MI know that there was another storm lurking. A storm in the form of Yashavi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. And MI were blown away.
Jaiswal smashed an unbeaten 77 off 32 balls, while Sooryavanshi hammered 39 in 14 as the duo added 80 runs in 4.6 overs. The opening partnership laid the foundation for RR to pile up 150 for 3 in the rain-reduced 11 overs-a-side game, which began at 10.10pm local time.
In reply, MI lost three wickets inside the reduced 3.2 over powerplay and were eventually restricted to 123 for 9 in 11 overs, with Sandeep Sharma, Nandre Burger and Ravid Bishnoi all picking up two wickets apiece. RR, with their third win in as many games, moved to the top of the points table, while MI were handed their second loss in successive games.
Bishnoi has two in an over
He is the purple cap holder for a reason and Bishnoi starts off with two wickets in one over. Hardik smokes Bishnoi through covers first ball, but then thumps Bishnoi flat and hard and straight to long-on. Tilak Varma then pulls a short ball through midwicket but falls the very next ball. It was a wrong'un that Tilak lines up for a slog sweep. But he doesn't get it anywhere in the middle and Hetmyer takes a simple catch at deep midwicket.
MI slip to 46 for 5 after five overs. Bishnoi should have had a third wicket with Sherfane Rutherford, the Impact Player, toe-ending the legspinner straight up towards Jaiswal at long-off. He runs in, reaches there in time but shells a straightforward chance.

Sandeep wins the Rohit battle again
Coming into this game, Sandeep had dismissed Rohit Sharma five times in 12 innings in the IPL. That becomes six in 13 with Rohit pinned bang in front of the wickets as MI continue to slide. With the wicketkeeper up to the stumps, Sandeep begins with two dot balls. Rohit, under pressure, then looks for an adventurous shot. He goes right across eyeing a fine paddle. But Sandeep keeps calm and nails a yorker on middle. Rohit misses, is struck on middle and that is PLUMB! Rohit reviews more in hope than anything else and the ball tracker has that thumping into middle of middle. A top over from Sandeep, going for three runs!MI finish the powerplay on 30 for 3, with the target looking a long way away.
