Advisers urge Trump to quickly withdraw from Iran war

US President Donald Trump

Various discussions have begun within the US administration on the Iran issue. The influential US media outlet The Wall Street Journal reported in a report that several of President Donald Trump's advisers are advising him to find a way out of this war quickly.

They are making this call out of fear of an abnormal increase in oil prices in the global market and adverse political repercussions as a result of the prolonged conflict.

According to the advisers, the primary and main objectives of this operation against Iran have already been achieved. Therefore, it is necessary to pave the way for an honorable exit without prolonging the conflict. Last Monday, President Trump himself promised that this ongoing military operation against Iran would be completed soon.

However, a different tone is being heard from within the Trump administration, contrary to the advisers' position. A senior official told the Wall Street Journal that as long as Tehran continues its attacks on various countries in the Middle East and as long as Israel is ready to strike Iranian targets, the chances of the United States getting out of this war easily are slim.

The official also noted that President Trump is not in favor of stopping the war until he achieves the complete victory he wants. The report also said that Trump has been somewhat surprised by Iran's reluctance to accept the conditions set by the United States and Israel, even in the face of intense military pressure. As a result, despite the desire to end the war, the White House does not see a solution to it in the realities on the ground right now.
