Israel has taken over the US government: Former Trump-close official 19/03/2026

Carrie Prescott bowls with US President Donald Trump.

After the resignation of Joe Kent, the head of the US National Counterterrorism Center, on the issue of the Iran war, a former official close to US President Donald Trump has made explosive comments on the same issue.

Former Trump administration official Carrie Prezin Bowler has alleged that Israel has influence over US policymaking and that this is why the country is involved in the Iran war. According to her, Israel has taken over the US government.

At the same time, she said that Trump's popular MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement has now practically collapsed and we no longer know this Trump.

Bowler claims that the US government is being run under Israeli influence. The MAGA movement is now 'dead'.

In an interview given on the 'Piers Morgan Uncensored' program on Monday, Bowler said that he 'no longer knows' Trump, although he once considered him a close friend.

“I think we are in a kind of occupation. A foreign country (Israel) has taken over our government. Now we see the president of the United States acting under the influence of a foreign government,” he said. He blamed Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s frequent visits to the United States for the Iran war.

“He (Netanyahu) has been here about eight times. It’s shameful. We are the United States—so why are we letting a foreign country influence our government?”

He added, “The MAGA is over, completely over. Americans are angry. We don’t know this Donald Trump anymore.”

This is largely a sign of a split among Trump's political supporters over his stance on the Iran war. Influential aides and former officials are publicly criticizing him. On Tuesday, Joe Kent, who served as director of the National Counterterrorism Center, published his resignation letter on the social media platform X. In it, he questioned the rationale for the Iran war and called for an end to the war.

In the letter, he wrote, "I cannot in good conscience support this ongoing war with Iran. Iran was not an immediate threat to us, and we are clearly under pressure from Israel and its influential lobby."

Last month, Bowler was removed from the White House Religious Liberty Commission. He was appointed to the position in May 2025. He was removed for allegedly “attempting to divert” a hearing.

According to media reports, the Iran war that began on February 28 after the joint US-Israeli attack has sparked a new debate among Republicans over the interpretation of the “America First” policy. Some believe that military intervention abroad contradicts the core idea of the policy.

Bowler claims that he has been a Trump supporter for almost 20 years. According to him, there is widespread opposition to the war even among ordinary conservative supporters. “I talk to MAGA supporters every day and ordinary Americans are against this war. They think that Israel is the reason we are now at war with Iran.”

finally, he said, “We will not vote for any politician who lies that they will not eliminate corruption and will not get involved in foreign wars. "Trump has betrayed our country, he has betrayed the MAGA movement. People are angry about this."

Trump threatens to destroy Iran once and for all

US President Donald Trump has warned of 'ending Iran once and for all'. He made this controversial comment in a post on his social media 'Truth Social' on Wednesday.

At the same time, Trump sharply criticized the 'inaction' of allied countries regarding the security of the Strait of Hormuz, saying that the countries concerned must now take responsibility for using this important waterway.

Trump wrote in his post that he is thinking about what will happen if what is left of the 'terrorist state' called Iran is completely eliminated. He also mentioned that the United States is no longer dependent on this route. Therefore, the countries that use this channel should take responsibility for its security. According to Trump, taking such strong steps will force all American allies that are not responding now to act quickly.

Tensions in the Middle East have reached a peak since the joint military operation of the United States and Israel against Iran began on February 28. The attack has killed nearly 1,300 people, including Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response, Iran has launched drone and missile attacks on Israel, Jordan, Iraq and the Gulf states. Tehran claims that they are mainly targeting US military targets in those regions.

Iran has been blocking the strategically important Strait of Hormuz since March 1, causing major disruptions to global oil and air traffic. In the wake of the situation, Trump has called on not only his allies but also China to come forward to reopen the waterway.
